My name is Adam Jones. I am 20 years of age and showing signs of it! I'm currently studying Broadcast Media at Weston College. Its going good so far but with deadlines coming up and alcohol and football taking up most of my spare time, concentration is hard to come by. Im sure i'll manage!
So yeah, im 20. Im living in weston but go home every weekend to play football for East Budleigh (Birth place of Sir Walter Raleigh) FC. Pain in the arse it maybe, playing football at the weekend is a great way for me to relieve stress, keep fit and burn off some of the crap i drank in the week past. Football's great, i love it, and take no notice of poeple who think the sport is for "jessies" (they've obviously never played lower-league true English football!) It is the BEAUTIFUL game, and the only thing that can bring me to tears! Manchester United be my team, theres no better place than the Theater of Dreams!
My home is about 30 minutes from Exeter. The great town of Budleigh Salterton, is situated on the southcoast of Devon. Its a small town with a population of about 5000 poeple. Jeremy Clarkson described it as compact and overpriced, he's right, but you've got to pay for quality nowadays! (If you're familiar with the Lord of the Rings trilogy) If England was Middle Earth and devon was the Shire, Budleigh would be hobbiton! but without the freaky midgets! See for yourself at: www.visitbudleigh.com/.

Budleigh is a small place and my family all live within it, which is a great thing as there's nothing more important than family. I am a self-confessed mummys boy and proud of it..."my mums a saint".
To sum it up, im a country bumpkin...a Devonshire dumplin, and love the country i live in! living in the countryside, i'v grown to become a traditionalist, but not the racist, get the gays out sort. A man whose proud to be English and everything England represents!

Hi Adam,
That's a really passionate introduction to yourself and your home town. I looked at the link for Budleigh Salterton, it looks wonderful and worth a visit. I can only see this one blog entry and as you know you need to have at least 6 that illustrate what you have learnt on the course so far along with your own comments. You will need to put in a lot of work to catch up, so have a look at the reminder I gave you today and make sure you do 4 more entries between now & next Wednesday, when we will be doing the last Blog entry. Don't forget to put in links to relevant sites (using the long hand url's is fine as many students are having problems putting in the the hyperlinks) also add photos or illustrations and spellcheck. Have a look at Keely's blog for a good example of what we're expecting. Kim.
